Inmates at the Kosciusko County Jail are now sporting more traditional prison garb. Kosciusko County Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine said the shift to the black-and-white striped uniforms coincides with the opening of the new jail as a means to better identify inmates. The uniforms also are emblazoned on the back with 'Kosciusko Co. Jail' in orange letters. Rovenstine said the new look takes the jail back to the old ways, making prisoners look more like prisoners. Trusties - inmates allowed to pass in and out of the jail for supervised work projects - will continue to wear blue uniforms.
