New Endowment Fund At Community Foundation Benefits Mobile MealsKosciusko County Community Foundation announced the creation of a new endowment fund.
The Clarence and Louise Cook Endowment Fund for Mobile Meals was established by an anonymous donor to provide annual support for the Mobile Meals program, according to a news release from the Foundation.
Mobile Meals is a meal delivery service offered by Kosciusko County Senior Services. KCSS coordinates volunteer drivers to pick up hot, nutritious meals prepared by Kosciusko Community Hospital and deliver them to seniors in the community.
The anonymous donor chose to honor Clarence and Louise Cook because the Cooks worked hard for many years to contribute to the community and were generous in giving from their own garden. Louise is deceased.
Before retiring in 1978, Clarence worked for several local companies, including Hotel Hayes, Arnolt Corp. and R.R. Donnelly & Sons. Clarence, now in his 90s, is a recipient of Mobile Meals and is beloved by all the volunteer Mobile Meals delivery drivers, the release states.
Since 1968, Kosciusko County Community Foundation Inc. has helped donors achieve their charitable dreams. The Community Foundation is a public charity that grants about $2.5 million annually in the areas of education, health, arts and culture, recreation, civic projects, environment and human services.
Gifts made to the Community Foundation are tax-deductible. If you would like to make a donation to the Clarence and Louise Cook Endowment Fund for Mobile Meals, call 574-267-1901, visit 102 E. Market St., Warsaw, or donate online at https://kcfoundation.org/donate.
Be sure to name the fund whether you give by cash, check or online.
