New Clinic Offers Advanced Cancer Care For Warsaw-Area PatientsFort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology (FWMOH) announced the opening of its new stand-alone clinic on Center Lake in Warsaw.

The clinic is located near downtown at 737 N. Detroit St. and is the latest addition to its network of 12 satellite clinics offering advanced cancer care to patients in Northeast Indiana, according to a news release from FWMOH.

The recently remodeled building’s location allows patients to see their oncologist and care team members with just a short drive from anywhere in Kosciusko County and the immediate area.

“Cancer treatment often involves frequent appointments,” explained oncologist Ahad Sadiq, MD. “We want to minimize the effort required for patients to see their doctor, and to simplify transportation for those unable to drive themselves.”

FWMOH had previously treated patients from smaller facilities at a Warsaw hospital campus.

“Upgrading our personalized, high-touch cancer care for the Warsaw area is important to us and to our patients,” Sadiq said.

The new Warsaw clinic offers free parking at-the-door, a relaxing environment with views of Center Lake for patients receiving infusion therapy, lab services and access to care-team members. Patients also have access to cutting-edge treatments through FWMOH’s Inventa Center for Cancer Research clinical trials.

Sadiq, the co-director of the Inventa Center, is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology, with a research interest in solid malignancies, especially thoracic oncology. Sadiq, who sees patients Wednesdays, leads multiple clinical trials in thoracic oncology with a focus on immunotherapies.

He is joined at the clinic by oncologist Dr. Yasolatha Nalamolu. She is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology. She has experience in treating various malignancies, with a special interest in breast cancer. She is seeing patients each Friday.

“We’re very proud to offer such beautiful facilities to our Warsaw-area patients,” said Nalamoulu. “People who choose to live in a wonderful community like Warsaw shouldn’t be forced to travel for top-quality care, and now they don’t have to any longer.”
