The Claypool Town Board has accepted Eugene Warner's resignation as town marshal and approved the hiring of Louis Manuel Mediano (pictured above) as a full-time town marshal. Warner served as town marshal for 18 years while also fulfilling the responsibilities of street & water utilities superintendent and cemetery sexton. Warner will continue to serve the town as a deputy marshal along with his other responsibilities. Danny Warner also remains as deputy marshal, assistant utilities superintendent and wastewater treatment operator. Town residents can expect to see Mediano patrolling frequently and responding to calls placed through 911 or the town's non-emergency number of 574-566-2322. Mediano also will be supervising the training of Isaac Adams as a reserve officer.
