New CenturyLink COO Visits WarsawA merger of Embarq and Monroe, La.-based Century Tel went into effect this week.
The deal makes the new company, to be named CenturyLink later this year, one of the biggest telephone companies in the country.
Thursday, the company's new chief operating officer, Karen Puckett, visited Warsaw to talk to employees and meet with Mayor Ernie Wiggins.A meeting of Warsaw Embarq employees was held at the Orthopedic Capital Center on the campus of Grace College. She also met with several customers, including a group from Warsaw Community Schools.
"I think he'll do a great job," said Puckett after meeting new WCS Superintendent Dr. Craig Hintz.
Puckett, along with a team of executives, had lunch with Wiggins at the Boathouse in Winona Lake. The group then met at the city building on Market Street.
"It was great to meet with the employees as well as Mayor Wiggins," said Puckett.
