Editor, Times-Union: I have just reviewed the letter from my ex-wife. The same letter she sent you about me. Wow, what a letter! It brought tears to my eyes to read it. But it’s all true.
And even before I knew about the story in your paper I had sent a letter to you to say that I need one to help me.
I had a bond reduction hearing scheduled for the 23rd, that was yesterday. But even though they took me to the court at 9 a.m. and the hearing was at 9:30, my court-appointed lawyer did not show up. So I did not get the hearing I have been waiting on for six weeks. This is what I meant I need help with I’m not a lawyer, you know that.
The court makes a plea of not guilty on your behalf, appoints a lawyer to represent you in the court of law, but what happens to the person when this happens? You set in jail longer and longer.
All this is not good on me. I need to be out to see what is left of all my belongings that have been stolen and with all the left-overs of my boats and other stuff. I’m sure that the boat lift is gone, for the scrap and all the boats are totalled by the scrap being cut out of them and still no arrests. Even the cops know how and who did it.
Well, like my ex-wife said, I could go on and on. Please, I need some one to help now. I need out of this jail to see what is left of my life. To see if I can put all I worked for back together. I need a very good lawyer or law firm to help me with all of this.
Thank you and thank you to my ex-wife. William F. McMahan c/o Kosciusko County Jail Warsaw
