CARMEL – Nedra Joyce Zellers Bahler, 75, Carmel, passed away at 9:50 a.m. July 14, 2016, at Indiana University North Hospital, Carmel, after a four-week battle with gallbladder and peritoneal cancer. She was born June 19, 1941, in Union Township, Fulton County, to Arthur V. and Bernice O. Baldwin Zellers. On May 9, 1981, at First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, she married Wallace “Wally” A. Bahler, who survives. She was a proud 1959 graduate of Kewanna High School and Gale Institute of Airline Operations in Minneapolis, Minn. She worked in management for 43 years with United Telephone of Indiana, which later became Sprint. She enjoyed traveling, visiting friends and family, and loved her animals. Also surviving are her sons, Dr. Brian E. (and spouse Jeanine) Scott, Fishers, and David A. Stevens (and partner Marie Bartrum), Upland; a stepson, Troy W. Bahler, Lincoln, Calif.; a daughter, Tracy (and spouse Jim) Minnick, Fort Wayne; two sisters, Naoma (and spouse Babe) Seidel and Marilyn Williams, Indianapolis; brothers, Wayne (Doris) Zellers, Sun City, Fla., and Herbert (Becky) Zellers, Rochester, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Marjorie Martin and Virginia (and spouse Lele) Cook; and a brother, Virgil Zellers. Visiting hours will be held July 22, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Ritz Charles, 2156 N. Meridian St., Carmel. Services will begin at noon, officiated by Rev. Wanda Carter, personal friend of Mrs. Bahler, with private graveside services being held later in the day for immediate family.
