WINONA LAKE - Notre Dame Glee Club will perform at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Winona Lake, at 2 p.m. Oct. 18.
Their performance is the second concert of the Lakeland Community Concert Association's 2009-10 concert season.
The Notre Dame Glee Club continues the musical tradition that began in 1915. Drawing on a wide repertoir of music from ancient polyphony to modern pieces, the Glee Club entertains thousands of fans around the world every year.
Recently, the Club completed a 28-day tour of Europe, stopping in Dublin, Paris, Vienna, Munich and Rome, among other places.
More than 2,000 young men have sung with the Club over the years. Since 1915, the members of the Glee Club have enjoyed the fraternal organization with an intensive study of vocal technique and musical styles. The group has toured from coast to coast and around the world.
LCCA subscription fees are $40 each for the entire season. Children, 18 years old and younger, may attend free when accompanied by an adult member. A 10 percent discount is available for groups of 20 or more individuals. Individual tickets may be purchased at the door.
LCCA subscription cards are honored at community concerts in Kendallville, LaPorte and Kokomo.Other upcoming concerts include the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Dec. 20, 2 p.m., Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center; Riders in the Sky, March 11, 7:30 p.m., Rodeheaver Auditorium; and Daniel Rodriguez, April 29, 7:30 p.m., Rodeheaver Auditorium.
