Nawasa Vires, 76, of 900 Provident Drive, Warsaw, died at 6:22 p.m. April 19, 2009, in Kosciusko Community Hospital.
She was born Nov. 17, 1932, in Floyd County, Ky., to Kelly and Sally Shepherd Shepherd. On July 7, 1962, she married Quinton Vires, who died May 21, 2005.
She lived in Warsaw and Claypool. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Jane Matthews, Columbia, S.C., and Pamela Sue Hotte, North Charleston, S.C.; a son, Claude Leroy (and spouse Mary Ann) Wood, Warsaw; a sister, Vada (and spouse Wheeler) Conley, Warsaw; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, five sisters, and six brothers.
Services will be at noon Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is two hours prior to the service Thursday at the funeral chapel.
