SOUTH BEND – Peoplelink Staffing Solutions of South Bend joins staffing companies across the country in celebrating National Staffing Employee Week, Sept. 16-21, established by the American Staffing Association to pay tribute to the millions of Americans who are employed by staffing firms every day. “National Staffing Employee Week is a ‘high-five’ to the talented and committed temporary and contract employees who offer their dedication and skill to a diverse spectrum of industries,” said Jay Mattern, Peoplelink EVP and COO. Businesses tap staffing companies for talent in virtually all occupational sectors, including call center service representatives, tradesmen and attorneys, according to the ASA. The association also says that 79 percent of temporary and contract employees work full-time (35 hours or more a week), virtually the same as the rest of the workforce. “It’s a highly rewarding feeling, serving and supporting the American business model as well as the work force which fuels it and ensures its success,” Mattern said.
