LEESBURG – Nathan David Bowerman, 29, Port Saint Lucie, Fla., and a former summer resident of Black’s Landing on Tippecanoe Lake, passed away Oct. 6, 2016, after a three-year battle with cancer.
He was born in Kokomo on March 15, 1987, to David and Joni Black Bowerman.
He graduated from Port Saint
Lucie High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. After college, he held manage- ment positions for Abercrombie & Fitch, The Vitamin Shoppe and 321 Boat Club.
He is survived by his parents, Dave and Joni Bowerman, Port Saint Lucie; a sister, Jessica (and spouse Tommy) Sprague, Orlando, Fla.; his twin brother, Jeremy (and spouse Channing) Bowerman, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two nieces, Brooke and Addison; paternal grandparents, Don and Edna Earle Bowerman, Birmingham, Ala.; maternal grandmother, Dolores Black, North Webster; and many other extended family members in Alabama, Georgia, Indiana and Florida.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Orlie Black; and his aunt, Melissa Black.
A life celebration will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of God, 301 N. Main St., North Webster. Burial will follow in North Webster Cemetery.
Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, is handling local arrangements.
