NOTICE TO BIDDERS The Board of Public Works and Safety of the Civil City of Nappanee, Indiana, Elkhart and Kosciusko County, State of Indiana will receive sealed bids on Monday January 10, 2011 until the hour of 3:30 PM at the Clerk-Treasurer's Office at the Nappanee Municipal Center for the purchase of a new Custom Rescue- Pumper Fire Apparatus. Specifications for said new Custom Rescue- Pumper Fire Apparatus may be obtained at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer of the City of Nappanee, 300 West Lincoln Street, P.O. Box 29, Nappanee, IN 46550. All bids shall be submitted with a cash outright price and also with a Lease/Purchase price. The Lease/Purchase Agreement shall state the contract price and that the sum of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($200,000.00) shall be paid by the City upon delivery of the unit. The Agreement shall also state that the City shall pay the sum of Sixty-Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($60,000.00) on/or before June 30, 2012 and, if applicable, Sixty-Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($60,000.00) on/or before December 30, 2012. This payment schedule shall continue on/or before June 30 and on/or before December 30 of each year thereafter until the entire contract price is fully paid. All bids shall be submitted on forms prescribed by the State Board of Accounts, which may be obtained at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer of said City and shall be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit and bid bond, certified check or a corporate surety in a sum equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid. No bid shall be withdrawn after scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept all, or any part of any bid received, and to waive any and all informalities in bidding, and to accept the lowest and/or best bid.
