NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NAPPANEE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS The City of Nappanee Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing, Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 6:00 pm in the Council Chambers, City Municipal Building, 300 West Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana. The purpose of this hearing is to hear a Variance request, #08-08-BZA, filed by Scott & Toyz-Ann Stockes, 755 W. VanBuren St., Nappanee, IN 46550. The request is for a variance from the Nappanee Unified Zoning and Subdivision Control Ordinance to allow the construction of an additional 2 feet onto the front porch which would give the property a 71/2 foot front yard set back. The property is located at 755 W. VanBuren Street, Nappanee, IN 46550. The legal description of the property: Lot Numbered Ten (10) and the East thirty-seven (37) feet of the vacant West Street in Lehman's 1st Addition to the City of Nappanee, Indiana; as recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Elkhart County, Indiana. A copy of such proposal is on file in the Office of the Zoning Administration of the City of Nappanee. Written objections that are filed with the Office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee before the hearing will be considered. All concerned citizens will be offered the right to speak and voice their comments at the public hearing. The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
