NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NAPPANEE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS The City of Nappanee Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Municipal Building, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana. The purpose of this Hearing is to hear a variance request, #01-16-BZA, filed by Gordon K. Moore for McCormick Motors Inc., 1255 W. Market St, Nappanee, IN 46550. The request is for variances from the Nappanee Unified Zoning and Subdivision Control Ordinance to place an additional pole sign on the south property line behind the used car lot.. The Unified Zoning and Subdivision Control Ordinance allows one sign per property. The property is located at 1255 W. Market Street Nappanee, IN 46550. LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY: A part of the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section Thirty-six (36), Township Thirty-Five (35) North, Range Four (4) East, more fully descried as: The West Two Hundred (200) feet of the following described real estate: Beginning at a point on the North line of said West Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section Thirty-six (36) which is the centerline of US Highway No. 6, Three Hundred (300) feet West of the Northeast corner of said West Half of the Southwest Quarter of said Section Thirty-six (36), and running thence West along the North line of said West half of the Southwest Quarter of said Section Thirty-six (36) Three Hundred fifty (350) feet; thence South to the North line of the right-of-way of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad; thence Southeasterly along the North line of said Railroad right-of-way to a point which is immediately South of the point of beginning of this description, thence North to the point of beginning. A copy of such proposal is on file in the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee. Written objections that are filed with the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee before the hearing will be considered. All concerned citizens will be offered the right to speak and voice their comment at the Public Hearing. The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
