ORDINANCE NO. 1421 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES FOR ELECTED CITY OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF NAPPANEE, INDIANA FOR THE YEAR 2009 WHEREAS, HEA 1001, Public Law 17, provides for the Common Council of the City of Nappanee to fix the annual salaries of elected officials of the City: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CIVIL CITY OF NAPPANEE, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That from and after the 1st day of January 2009, the elected officials shall receive the following salaries for the year 2009, to be paid from tax levies in the General Fund. Mayor 21,114.00 Clerk-Treasurer 27,500.00 Councilperson, Five Members, each 3,782.00 City Judge 17,309.00 SECTION 2. That from and after the 1st day of January 2009 the elected officials shall receive the following salaries, which shall be in addition to all other salaries, and as members of the Board of Public Works and Safety, said salaries, shall be paid from and out of revenue derived from the operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Mayor 21,726.00 Clerk-Treasurer 13,935.00 Board Members, Two Members, each 3,782.00 SECTION 3. that from ad after the 1st day of January 2009, the elected officials shall receive the following salaries for the year 2009 for services performed for the Nappanee Water Utility and shall be paid from and out of revenue derived from the operation of the Nappanee Water Utility. Clerk-Treasurer 13,935.00 SECTION 4. That from and after the 1st day of January 2009, the elected officials shall receive the following salaries for the year 2009 for services performed for the Stormwater Management Fund and shall be paid from and out of revenue derived from the operation of the Stormwater Management Fund. Mayor 3,060.00 Clerk-Treasurer 3,500.00 SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect for the year of 2009 and shall be published in manner and form prescribed by IC 5-3-1.
