NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NAPPANEE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS The City of Nappanee Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber's of the City Municipal Building, 300 W. Lincoln St, Nappanee, Indiana. The purpose of this Hearing is to hear a variance request, #04-09-BZA, filed by Andrew and Timi Sloat, 302 E. Broad Avenue, Nappanee, IN 46550. The request is for a variance from the Nappanee Unified Zoning and Subdivision Control Ordinance to allow the construction of a 25-foot by 23-foot addition to the west side of the existing residence. The addition will encroach 3 foot 2 inches into the 30 foot required front yard set back giving the property a 26 foot 10 inch front yard set back. The property is located at 302 E. Broad Avenue. Nappanee, IN LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY: Lots Numbered Twenty-four (24) in and Twenty-five (25) as the said Lots are known and designated on the recorded Plat of Broadmoor Addition to the Town, now City of Nappanee, Indiana; said Plat being recorded in Plat Book 2, page 4 in the Office of the Recorder of Elkhart County, Indiana. A copy of such proposal is on file in the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee. Written objections that are filed with the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee before the hearing will be considered. All concerned citizens will be offered the right to speak and voice their comment at the Public Hearing. The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
