NAPPANEE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
    The City of Nappanee Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing, Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 6:00 pm in the Council Chambers of the City Municipal Building, 300 West Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana.
    The purpose of this Hearing is to hear a variance request, #02-12-BZA, filed by Gordon K. Moore for McCormick Motors Inc., 1255 W. Market St., Nappanee, IN 46550. The request is for variances from the Nappanee Unified Zoning and Subdivision Control Ordinance to remodel the facade of the existing showroom, moving the north wall 8 inches closer the right-of-way. Also as part of the request is to move two existing pole signs to a different location on the same property where more than one sign is located. The Unified Zoning and Subdivision Control Ordinance requires a 50 foot set back and allows one sign per property. The property is located at 1255 W. Market Street Nappanee, IN 46550.
    LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY: A part of the west half of the southwest quarter of section thirty-six (36), township thirty-five (35) north, range four (4) east, more fully described as: The west two hundred (200) feet of the following described real estate: Beginning at a point on the north line of said west half of the south west quarter of section thirty-six (36) which is the centerline of US Highway No. 6, three hundred (300) feet west of the northeast corner of said west half of the southwest quarter of said section thirty-six (36), and running thence west along the north line of said west half of the southwest quarter of said section thirty-six (36) three hundred fifty (350) feet; thence south to the north line of the right-of-way of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad; thence southeasterly along the north line of said railroad right-of-way to a point which is immediately south of the point of beginning of this description, thence north to the point of beginning.
    A copy of such proposal is on file in the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee, City Municipal Building, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana. Written objections that are filed with the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee before the hearing will be considered.
    All concerned citizens will be offered the right to speak and voice their comment at the Public Hearing. The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as maybe found necessary.
