NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NAPPANEE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS The City of Nappanee Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Municipal Building, 300 W, Lincoln St, Nappanee, Indiana The purpose of the Hearing is to hear Variance request #02-10-BZA, filed by Jason and Flordeliza Brock, 255 E. John Street, Nappanee, Indiana 46550. The request is for a variance from the Nappanee Unified Zoning and Subdivision Control Ordinance to allow the construction of enclosed 1 0 foot by 24 foot front porch that will create an 11 foot 6 inch front yard set back and will increase the total lot coverage to 27.5 percent The zoning ordinance requires a 30 foot front yard set back and a total lot coverage of25 percent The property is located at 255 East John Street, Nappanee, IN 46550. LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY: Lot Number Three Hundred Thirty (330) as the said Lot is known and designated on the recorded plat of BEST & MELLINGER'S ADDITION to the Town, now City of Nappanee, Indiana; said Plat being recorded in the Deed Record 65, page 570 in the Office of the Recorder of Elkhart County, Indiana. A copy of such proposal is on file in the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee, Indiana, City Municipal Building, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana. Written objections that are filed with the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee before the hearing will be considered. All concerned citizens will be offered the right to speak and voice their comment at the Public Hearing. The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
