BOURBON – Naomi J. Augustine, 91, longtime resident of Bourbon, passed away at 11:34 a.m. Feb. 9, 2014, in Bremen Health Care and Rehabilitation.
She was born July 20, 1922, in Marshall County, to Onel and Mary Oler Sickmiller. On Nov. 3, 1945, she married Robert E. Augustine, who died Feb. 23, 2008.
She was a graduate of Plymouth High School class of 1940. She was a homemaker. She volunteered at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, and she and Bob enjoyed being a part of the square dance club.
Surviving are three children who will greatly miss her: two daughters, Edith Eileen (and spouse Robert) Baker, Plainfield, Ill., and Celeste Ann (and spouse Bill) Reed, Denver, Ind.; a son, James Robert Augustine, Bourbon; four grandchildren: Michelle Renee Reynolds Mutert, Robyn Lynn Reynolds Keller, Jenifer Nicole Augustine Miller and Adam James (and spouse Liz) Augustine; five great-grandchildren: Jessica Casaz, Abigail Grace Miller, Nathan Christopher Miller, Charlotte Augustine and Jake Keller; and a sister, Juanita Jacobson, Plymouth. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Rachel Goralczyk.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, with Pastor John Branch officiating. Burial is in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
Calling is from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
