MT. VERNON – Nancy Orlan Ragan Parks, 89, Mt. Vernon, passed away March 30, 2015, at her residence. She was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Noble County, to Edgar and Lauris Herron Ragan. She was married to Jack Dewitt Parks, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Warsaw High School with the Class of 1945. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, Marcus (and spouse Sandie) Parks, Mooreland; a daughter, Laura (and spouse Tom) Sommerfield, Mt. Vernon; two grandchildren, Sarah Parks and Susan Clouse; and six great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, Patrick David Parks; four brothers: Phil, Pat, Bert and Jack; and one sister, Winifred. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, 601 Main St., Mt. Vernon, with the Rev. Fred Haywood officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St., Mt.
