Nancy C. Nellans, 68, of Warsaw, passed away at 10:30 a.m. June 11, 2013, in Warsaw Meadows. She was born April 1, 1945, in Warsaw, to Adrian and Mary Taylor Coplen. She was a 1963 graduate of Warsaw High School, received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Purdue University in 1967 and a master’s degree in psychology in 1968. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She taught in Honolulu, Hawaii and Arizona. In addition she worked in Washington, D.C.; Arlington, Va., where she also owned a hardware store; and Warsaw. She returned to the Warsaw area in 1993. She was a licensed pilot and an avid dog lover. Surviving are two sisters, Martha (and spouse Jim) Krema, Lombard, Ill., and Sally (and spouse Jerry) Hogan, Warsaw; a brother, Dan (and spouse Jane) Coplen, Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews.
