MENTONE – Nancy C. Harrell, 83, of 10422 W. CR 800S, Claypool, and formerly of Star City, died at 3:25 a.m. July 21, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 13, 1929, in Star City, to William and Laura Billings Huff. On Dec. 24, 1950, in Star City, she married Lloyd W. Harrell, who died Aug. 15, 1994. She was the office manager for Midwest Poultry Services, Mentone, for more than 20 years. In earlier years she worked at the Fulton County courthouse. She was a graduate of Star City High School. She enjoyed reading, spending time traveling to see her family and cooking. Surviving are three daughters: LuAnn (and spouse Ed) Heitner, Lakeland, Fla.; Sara (and spouse Tim) Boganwright, Claypool; and Felicia (and spouse Steven Ray) Barker, Asheville, N.C.; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Mike Barker; two sisters, Elizabeth Purkey and Jean Cooke; and a brother, John Huff. Per her request, no public calling or services will be held. A private memorial service will be at a later date. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens, Winamac. King Memorial Home, 101 N.
