NORTH MANCHESTER- Nancy A. Hoerdt, 71, of North Manchester, died March 15, 2012, in her residence.
She was born Aug. 31, 1940, in Andrews, to Roy Huston and Evelyn Rehak. On Dec. 20, 1958, she married Gerald L. Hoerdt, who died May 29, 1992.
She was a homemaker. She graduated from Andrews High School. She began a 30-year healthcare career as an EMT and later CNA at Peabody and Timbercrest Retirement Communites, both of North Manchester. She served as a lieutenant for North Manchester Police Department Reserves for several years. Her passion was her family and her black labs.
Surviving are a son, Jerry (and spouse Kathie) Hoerdt, North Manchester; two daughters, Kay (and spouse Steve) Snipes, North Manchester, and Debra St. Clair, Wabash; a sister, Sally (and spouse Robert) Flora, Culver; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor Chad McAtee officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
