CARMEL - Myrtle Marie Meacham, 90, of Syracuse, died Nov. 18, 2009, at Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse.
She was born Nov. 22, 1918, in Hamilton County, to Cord and Ethel Small Whelchel. On Sept. 4, 1948, she married Stanley E. Meacham, who died in March 1990.
She worked at Carmel Drugs for 24 years before moving to Dewart Lake in 1988.
Surviving are A son, Jerry M. (and spouse Letitia) Dain; three granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles (and spouse Alberta) Whelchel, Fortville; and a sister, Betty Meacham, Carmel. She was preceded in death by five brothers.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Leppert Mortuary, Smith Carmel Chapel, with the Revs. Keith Huffman and Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will be in Carmel Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
