Myrtle J. Hopkins, 91, of Kosciusko County, died at 11:20 a.m. March 13, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born May 27, 1919, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Clarence and Fannie Adams Stanley. On Feb. 17, 1935, in Knox, she married George "Gib" Hopkins, who died Feb. 18, 1993.

Living most of her life in Kosciusko County, she worked in quality control at Zimmer for 10 years and was a greeter at the Warsaw Walmart. She was a member of Living Hope Ministries, Warsaw. She loved to bake and is known for her cooking; loved her family and church; enjoyed watching the Food Network and church service on the television; and loved her cat "Sassy."

Surviving are two sons, Terry (and spouse Carolyn) Hopkins, Warsaw, and Cloyce (and spouse Donna) Hopkins, Lake Barrington, Ill.; nine grandchildren: Gerri (and spouse Tom) Olson, Sheboygan Falls, Wis.; Greg Hopkins, Indianapolis; Gay (and spouse Paul) Daniel, Barrington; Bret (and spouse Jenni) Hopkins, Charlotte, Mich.; Bart Hopkins, Madeira Beach, Fla.; Chad (and spouse Mary) Hopkins, Mattawan, Mich.; Chandra (and spouse Abe) Hepler, Leah May and Brita (and spouse Travis) Greer, all of Warsaw;19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by a son, Randall Hopkins, who died Oct. 19, 1984; a daughter, Diana Kay Hoffer, who died Oct. 17, 1982; a brother, the Rev. Aaron Stanley, who died July 10, 1990; two sisters, Ora Lee Hackworth, who died Nov. 15, 2001, and Beulah Shand, who died July 22, 1997.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Living Hope Ministries, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor William Whitaker of the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
