NORTH MANCHESTER - Myris L. Collett, 83, of North Manchester, died at 5:50 a.m. Jan. 4, 2009, in Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
She was born May 21, 1925, in Wabash, to Harley and Ethel Cover Sincroft. On Aug. 9, 1946, she married Bill Miller, who died April 25, 1964. On Oct. 27, 1964, she married Wayne Collett, who died May 27, 2000.
She was a 1943 Central High School graduate and a homemaker. She was a member of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, Psi Iota Psi and various veteran organizations.
Surviving are three sons: Todd (and spouse Frances) Collett, Winona Lake; Bill (and spouse Carol) Collett, North Manchester; and Jon Collett, Collamer; four grandchildren; a brother, Eldon (and spouse Marjorie) Sincroft, North Manchester; and a sister, Norma Jeanne (and spouse DeWayne) Monce, North Manchester. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastors J.P. Freeman and Kurt Stout officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
