Murline Smith, 61, of 4328 North Westerner Winds Drive, Warsaw, died at 3:52 a.m. April 2, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital-ICU, Fort Wayne.

She was born Oct. 24, 1947, in Warsaw, to Butler and Annie Whitaker Owens. On Sept. 12, 1964, she married James O. Smith, who survives.

She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County and a homemaker. She was a member of God's Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw.

Also surviving are three daughters: Penny (and spouse Charley) Bailey, Warsaw; Tammy (and spouse Randy) Wallen, Claypool; Kimberly (and spouse Scott) Sipple, Berlin, Germany; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evaline Spangle, South Whitley, and Maggie England, Warsaw; four brothers: Dallas Owens and Vallas Owens, both of Warsaw; Gail Owens, Silver Lake; and Dale Owens, Lady Lake, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Garna Lee Bradford.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at God's Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw, with Pastors Bob Brown and Frank Whitaker officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.

Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
