Sean A. Murdock, 46, Warsaw, recently was sentenced in Kosciusko Circuit Court to three years in prison for sexual battery, a Class D felony. He will receive credit for time served and good time credit totaling two days. The sentence imposed was the maximum sentence, which was determined considering the aggravating and mitigating circumstances and with the plea agreement.He was ordered to pay a $100 fine plus court costs. Pending good behavior, the final year of the sentence will be suspended and he wil be placed on probation. As part of that probation, he must pay a $100 administrative, $100 intial and $25 monthly probation user's fees. The standard terms of probation for sex offenders will be imposed, and he must attend and complete a sexual offender program at the Bowen Center at his own expense. He also must pay restitution for counseling in the amount of $1,422.50. He also must register as a sex offender. As part of the plea agreement, a charge of sexual misconduct with a minor will be dismissed.
