Atwood resident James Moyer is seeking the Kosciusko County Council District 2 seat.
The seat is currently held by Harold Jones.
The primary is May 4 and filing ends Friday at noon. The general election is Nov. 2.
During an interview Friday afternoon, Moyer said he filed for the seat Jan. 22.
