An Akron man is in serious condition at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, after an accident at 6:20 a.m. today.
Billy G. Patrick, 44, of 9871 S. Field Lane, Akron, was northbound on CR 700W near CR 850S when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a deer.
Patrick suffered head injuries and was airlifted from the scene by Samaritan helicopter to Parkview.
Assisting at the scene were Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Mentone and Multi-Township EMS.
