A Hudson man died Friday after losing control of his motorcycle and hitting a metal post at the intersection of CRs 550N and 100E, near Warsaw.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department report, Anthony C. Langley, 20, appeared to have suffered lower extremity injuries. He was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, for treatment and later airlifted to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, where he died.
Police said Langley's motorcycle landed on top of him after the 8 p.m. accident.
Langley was eastbound on CR 550N when he apparently lost control of the motorcycle at a 90-degree turn at the intersection with CR 100E. The motorcycle was laid down by Langley and skidded across the roadway until exiting into the grass and striking a corner post.
A witness to the accident told police the motorcycle appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed before the driver lost control. The motorcycle reportedly flipped over several times before it left the roadway.
