ROCHESTER – Morse M. Utter Sr., 94, Athens, died at 7:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
He was born June 3, 1926, in Fulton County, to Robert R. and Bina E. Swartzlander Utter. He graduated from Akron High School in 1944, and on Dec. 20, 1954, he married Patricia “Pat” Jernigan, at the Rochester Church of God. She preceded him in death March 26, 2019.
He served in the United States Army.
A private family graveside service and burial will take place in the Athens Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Phil Pratt will officiate, and the United States Army Honors Team and Fulton County Veterans Honor Guard will accord military honors. The Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, is assisting the family with arrangements.
