Warsaw Fire Department responded to a fire at Robinson Construction, 445 E. CR 200N, at 6:27 a.m. today with a full assist from Winona Lake. Crews arrived to find the fire limited to its place of origin thanks to the sprinkler system, according to WFD Chief Mike Brubaker. Firefighters quickly extinguished what remained of the fire. “This is a perfect example of what a sprinkler system can do for you,” said Brubaker. “A lot of companies don’t like the initial cost of the system. If they would not have had that system, they potentially could have lost a lot of product.” Officials are still looking into the cause of the fire, but have identified the origin. Crews were on scene for shortly more than an hour. Damage was minimal.
