More Than $11,000 Raised in Arthritis Foundation Run

On Dec. 1, more than 100 members of the community participated in the Jingle Bell Walk/Run for the Arthritis Foundation in Warsaw/Winona Lake.

The 5k timed run and fun walk offered activities for the entire family. Participants tied jingle bells to their shoelaces, donned festive holiday costumes and joined friends, neighbors and colleagues in support of the Arthritis Foundation’s mission to prevent, control and cure arthritis and related diseases.

The prevalence of arthritis or chronic joint symptoms is now surging, affecting 1.4 million adults and 6,400 children in Indiana alone, according to the foundation.

“This event was a fun and effective way to support the Arthritis Foundation in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases,” said Jessica Masuga, DePuy employee and Warsaw/Winona Lake Jingle Bell event chair. “We raised more than $11,000 through this event this year.”

The walk’s committee thanked the volunteers and generous donors who made this event such a success. They also gave thanks to these corporate sponsors: Buffalo Wild Wings, DePuy Orthopaedics, Janssen, Kosciusko Runners’ Association, Paragon Medical, Rabb Water Systems, Steel Dynamics, Warsaw Times-Union, and Zimmer.
