Glenda Elliot, 67, of 402 W. Main St., Silver Lake, was pulled out of her car by emergency personnel. Tommy Sexton, 48, of 12634 S. CR 200W, Silver Lake, fled the scene and was apprehended shortly after.
Sexton was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and failure to comply. In addition there was a prior warrant for his arrest for public intoxication.
His bond was $1,123 and he is currently in the Kosciusko County Jail.
