The arrest of a Syracuse man early Tuesday on methamphetamine charges has led to the arrest of three other individuals.
The Winona Lake Police Department responded to an anonymous tip that methamphetamine was probably being produced at 2584 E. Sandy Drive, Warsaw, at 9:30 p.m. During the arrest of Justin Michael Vanlue, 27, of 705 Kinder Drive, Syracuse, officers also located Brandy Christine Howard, 29, of 209 Lecleare St., Ligonier.
Finished methamphetamine and several items associated with its manufacture were located inside the home.
Along with Vanlue's previously reported arrest, Howard was also taken into custody and charged with visiting a common nuisance and false informing law enforcement. She is being held without bond in the Kosciusko County Jail after it was determined that she currently has two outstanding warrants from Noble County.
Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers then moved the investigation to the Syracuse area where officers noted the strong odor associated with meth production in the area of 12346 N. Kings Drive, Syracuse.
Inside, officers located resident Jeromie Lee Bright, 31, and Jeremy Ray Cole, 30, of 10066 CR 400E, Syracuse. Officers also located finished methamphetamine at this location.
As officers were interviewing Cole, he allegedly dropped a loaded handgun from his pant-line area in the presence of officers and was immediately taken into custody without incident.
Bright was preliminarily charged with possession of methamphetamine and currently has a bond of $2,000.
Cole was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and currently has a bond of $10,000. Officers stated that more potential drug-related charges are possible against Bright and Cole after information is reviewed today by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office.
