Every year Warsaw Moose Lodge 1423 gives an award to sixth-grade students (fifth grade at Mentone) who have improved themselves by the end of the year. For example, a “C” student at the beginning who became a “B” student at the end could earn the award. The Moose Award this year was given to: Elizabeth Prater, Claypool; Gustavo Cartajena-Marroquin, Eisenhower; Jozie McClellan, Harrison; Samantha Flores Brito, Jefferson; Stephanie Renschler, Leesburg; Esmeralda Ayala; Lincoln; Michael Castros, Madison; Maria Rodriguez, Washington; Andrew Southworth, Sacred Heart; and Mason Swope, Mentone.
