AKRON – Friday is the monthly, third Friday jam in Akron. Bring your acoustic instruments and sit-in or just come to listen to bluegrass, country, folk and gospel music. Music starts at 7 p.m. in the Akron Community Center east of Akron north on Ind. 14. The jam is sponsored by the Akron Area Arts League. Call Karen for more information at 574-505-1450 Music on the Square On July 25, “God’s Country,” a Wabash based band that plays classic country, rock ’n’ roll and high energy gospel will be in the park in downtown Akron. Music is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Bring a chair. Have dinner at one of the local eateries or bring a picnic. The event will be cancelled if it rains. If in doubt, call Karen at 574-505-1450.
