Mom Seeks Help From Community In Locating Missing Daughters

Posted

The mother of two Warsaw girls is seeking help from the community in locating her daughters, who were last seen Sunday.

Ashley Moody, 13, and Brittany Barber, 12, of Grant Street, Warsaw, have run away before, according to their mother, Ruby Schoettmer, but the girls have never been gone this long before.

Schoettmer said she has talked to many of the girls' friends and nobody has seen them. They were reported missing early Monday.

Both girls attend Lakeview Middle School, where Moody is in eighth grade and Barber is in seventh grade.

Moody is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes and wears glasses.

Barber is 5 feet, 4 inches and weighs 145 to 150 pounds. She has brown shoulder-length hair and hazel eyes, with her left eyebrow pierced.

Local police do not believe foul play is suspected in their disappearance. The officer handling the case said he believes the girls are "just out having fun."

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the teens is asked to call the Warsaw Police Department at 372-9511.
