Molesting Charges Filed Against 2 MenTwo Kosciusko County men are facing multiple charges of child molesting after allegedly having sex with a girl under the age of 14.
Jonathan Connor Stone, 20, of 4109 N. CR 100E, Warsaw, is charged with two counts of child molesting, level 3 felonies. His bond was set at $25,000 surety and $250 cash.
He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 12:35 a.m. Sunday on the child molesting charges, as well as possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Jeremy Russell Himes, 21, Mentone, faces three counts of child molesting, level 1 felonies.
He was arrested July 9 on his charges. His bond was set at $50,000 surety and $250 cash.
Court documents filed Thursday state that on June 29, Warsaw Police officer Daniel Clemens met with Child Protective Services in reference to a child molesting report. Clemens met with caseworker Melissa Stephan, who said the victim had reported she had sex with Himes and Stone.
Stephan interviewed the victim who said sometime after February this year Himes gave her drugs and they had sex. She also said Stone was getting methamphetamine for her and they were having sex.
She said she and Stone engaged in oral sex in the Walmart parking lot on Feb. 14. She said on May 29, she and Stone engaged in sex in his bedroom. She also consumed alcohol, used meth and smoked marijuana that night. She said Stone and Himes both knew she was under 14.
WPD officer Jeffrey Ticknor spoke with Himes who admitted that on May 23 he had sex with the victim on several occasions. Details on his arrest were mentioned in a previous probable cause affidavit.
On July 5, Ticknor met with Stone who did not want to talk. Ticknor later talked to a woman who said Stone called her afterward crying and upset, asking why the police was at his residence. She said he told her he sometimes blacks out when he is drinking and did not remember having sex with the girl.
