Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union Plain Township Fire Department responded to a fire at Lot 190, Green Acres, at approximately 3 a.m. today. The fire was brought under control in approximately 30-45 minutes. According to a Plain Township spokesman, the resident of the mobile home, Misty Jackson, was not at home when the fire occurred. While there were no major injuries, a fireman did get something in his eye and was sent to the hospital where he was treated and released. The 2000-model mobile home sustained $35,000 to $40,000 in damages and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Along with the Plain Township Fire Department, the Warsaw Fire Department provided tanker assist and Squad 70, the arson investigation team, also was on the scene.
