LEBANON, Tenn. - In just his second start with ML Motorsports, 23-year-old Shelby Howard finished 14th in Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Nashville Superspeedway.

Howard, who replaced Mark Green three weeks ago behind the wheel of Mary Louise Miller's No. 70 Chevy, was well on his way to a top-25 finish last week at Texas Motor Speedway.A flat tire with six laps to go, while Howard was running in the 24th position, left the Greenwood native with a 32nd-place finish.

There were no late-race mishaps this time, and Howard was among 22 drivers who finished the race on the lead lap.

Joey Logano won Saturday's 300-mile race, followed in the top five by Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Kelly Bires and Carl Edwards.

Jason Leffler finished sixth, while David Ragan, Mike Bliss, Steve Wallace and Scott Lagasse Jr. rounded out the top 10.

In the team's last two trips to the 1.33-mile concrete oval outside of Nashville, ML Motorsports has finished 14. Green accomplished the feat last June after finishing 26th in last year's April race at Nashville Superspeedway.

Stephen Leicht, Jason Keller, Burney Lamar, Howard and Michael McDowell completed the list of top-15 finishers.

Howard, who is scheduled to compete in 17 more Nationwide Series races this season with ML Motorsports, and the Warsaw-based team will be in action again April 25 at Talladega Superspeedway.

A week later, Howard and ML Motorsports are scheduled to race at Richmond International Raceway.
