Mitchell Max ‘Mitch’ RileyMitchell Max “Mitch” Riley, 20, of Columbia City, and formerly of Pierceton, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at his home.

He was born on Aug. 13, 1999, in Warsaw, to Dale Mitchell and Joyce Helen Holle Riley.

He lived a few years as an infant in California, but lived most of his life in the Pierceton/Columbia City area and graduated in 2018 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse.

He was formerly employed at Kroger in Columbia City and Parker Hannifin in Syracuse.

He formerly attended the United Methodist Church in North Webster. He had a love for boxing and physical fitness and was pursuing his certification in personal training.

He is survived by parents, Dale and Joyce Riley, of Pierceton; sister, Tessa (Adam) Doll, of Milford; paternal grandmother, Carol Halfman, of Pierceton; paternal stepgrandmother, Jeanne Riley, of Valparaiso; nephew, Theodore Doll; and girlfriend, Karma Stiles, of Rochester.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 15 at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16 in the funeral home with Pastor Byron Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
