Missing Horse

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:
Today, I believe someone mistakenly picked up a white concrete horse about two feet tall from my parking area, thinking I had it there because I didn’t want it anymore.
I have had it a long time and one leg is chipped enough you can see the heavy wire the concrete is built around.  I live on the island at Winona Lake at 1012 Court Circle.  Court Circle is like an alley and our parking area is across Court Circle from our house.  The young man helping me rake around my house moved the horse and the hose holder over on the parking area so he could rake better and he hadn’t finished raking due to the rain, so he hadn’t moved it back over by the house yet.
It’s funny. I looked over at my horse this morning and thought about moving it back by the house, but in your 70’s you think awhile before you move concrete!  And my husband has had three back surgeries since November so I wasn’t going to disturb him about it.  And, then, about 2:30, I looked out and my horse was gone.  Our trash is at the other end of the parking lot but maybe someone thought the horse and hose was my neighbor’s throw-out.   The front of my house is sentimentally  just not going to be the same without my old horse.
If someone reading this knows where it went or comes across it, could you please bring it back to me, or let me know?  My husband Jerry and I are in the phone book.   I understand what you were thinking if you picked it up, because when I first got my horse, it really was meant to be in the throw-out in someone’s trash when I drove by one day!  I was much stronger in those days.  Thank you so very, very much for any concern you can give my problem!
