The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was investigating a missing 19-year-old yesterday, but authorities say the boy was found deceased. County deputies responded yesterday to the 5500 block of CR 700S, Pierceton, in reference to a missing adult male, identified as Zachary Jay Cox. His family told officers he had left his residence on foot Tuesday evening and had not returned. Family members’ attempts to contact him were unsuccessful. Cox reportedly notified his place of employment that he would no longer return to work. Cox’s body was located yesterday evening in an area near his home. The family wishes no further information be provided, according to KCSD Public Information Officer Sgt. Chad Hill, though he did confirm that foul play is not suspected.
