I would like to tell you how proud I am of my parents, Ron and Mary England. They have been so strong for the last few weeks with all the events that have taken place in there lives. Not only grieving for the loss of my brother, Zachary England, but taking a stand to help others through this tragedy.
I miss my little brother so much, and it is hard to explain to my three little sons why their crazy, fun-loving uncle won't be with us for Christmas. My parents are very strong, and with God's help they are getting through their daily lives. My brother does live on, he has given life back to many through his right hand and organ donations.
If you would like information on the recipient of my brother's hand, go to www.handtransplant.com and click on Jan "Erik" Hondusky's name to see pictures and a video.
Thank you, Times-Union, for your articles in the paper Tuesday night. Hopefully, this tragedy won't happen to another family.
