The Junior Miss and Mister Kosciusko County Fair and the Miss Teenage Kosciusko County Fair contests were held in the activity tent Monday evening.
There were 23 girls and seven boys in the junior contest for ages 8 to 11. Fifteen girls ages 12 to 15 competed for the Miss Teen title.
It was a good night for the Blair family of Warsaw when Robert and Linda Blair's daughter, Litasha, 14, was named Miss Teen Kosciusko County Fair.
Their son Brandon was named first runner-up in the Junior Mister contest.
Rene Sinclair, 15, Warsaw, was named first runner-up. She is the daughter of Patricia Enders and Richard Sinclair.
Second runner-up was Sundown Platt, 14, daughter of Ken Platt and Tina Cumberland.
The teens and the juniors are judged on their attentiveness, conduct, appearance and natural charm.
Their personality and self-confidence shines through when they answer questions asked by interviewers.
Stephanie Wilson, 2001 Kosciusko County Fair Queen, asked the teen girls questions during their contest, and Ryan Walsh of Warsaw's Cow Country 102.7 FM radio station quizzed the juniors.
Bethany Sammons was chosen Junior Miss Kosciusko County Fair. Sammons, 9, is the daughter of Tim and Rochele Sammons, Warsaw.
First runner-up was Andrea Smith, 8, daughter of Christine and Christopher Smith, Syracuse.
Second runner-up was Emily Golden, 10, daughter of Dean and Lora Golden, Warsaw.
Shay Dixon was named Junior Mister Kosciusko County Fair. Dixon, 9, Winona Lake, is the son of Tracey Dixon and Jeryl Leamon.
First runner-up was Brandon Blair, 12, son of Robert and Linda Blair, Warsaw.
Second runner-up was Michael Caruso, 10, son of Tony and Darla Caruso, Warsaw.
Judges for both events were Alyssa Bott, 2000 Kosciusko County Fair Queen; Jim Brennan, Jackie Wyatt, Julie Hall and Jennifer Mink.
