Every other Wednesday all 130 Lakeland Christian Academy students leave the school campus and volunteer in various organizations around the area through the Unleashing the Power of the Son programs. One of the programs, in its seventh year, is Miraculous Moments for Moms. This program takes place at Warsaw Community Church and allows free babysitting for children age’s infants to kindergarten from 12:40 p.m. to 3 p.m. Moms (or dads) can bring their children and they will be cared for while parents run errands, shop or just sit back and grab a cup of coffee and relax. Children will be divided by ages: infant, crawlers, walkers, 2/3 and 4/5 plus kindergarten. There will be a short Bible story and coloring page for appropriate ages, plus craft time, a snack and large muscle playtime. This year’s dates are: Wednesday; Oct. 14 and 28; Nov. 11; Dec. 2; Jan. 13 and 27; Feb. 10 and 24; March 9 and 23; April 20 and May 4.
