Minnie Wray, 103, of 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, died at 9:50 a.m. Jan. 14, 2009, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.
She was born March 1, 1905, in Booneville, Ky., to Henry Wesley and Mary Jane Brandenburg Moore. On Oct. 28, 1939, she married John C. Wray, who died June 1, 1988.
A 40-year Kosciusko County resident, she was a homemaker and worked at Gospel League Home, Chicago, Ill. She was a member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church and Women of Grace Missionary Group. She graduated from Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Ill, in 1936, and from the Master Baking School, Chicago.
Surviving are a daughter, Sherry Wray, Chicago; and a grandson. She was preceded in death by five brothers and seven sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Bruce Barlow and Chaplain Glenn Byers officiating. A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Grace Village Retirement Community Chapel, Winona Lake, with Pastor Bruce Barlow and Chaplain Glenn Byers officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
