Ministerial Association Issues Call To Prayer

Posted
In light of the recent killings at Virginia Tech, the Greater Warsaw Ministerial Association asks all churches and Christians to observe a time of silence and prayer Sunday.

In the request, the GWMA leadership team, including Pastors John Lowe, Dave Cripe, Jason Gross and Ken Locke, said, "Take a moment of silence and pray for the victims' families, friends and the community of Virginia Tech. Pray for our community, state and nation that we will repent of our sins and realize that God has sustained us these many years."John Adams once said, "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of the Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

The GWMA representatives said, "The continued attacks on morality and the Judeo-Christian foundations of this country are producing the fruit of immorality and violence we continue to see. Our prayer is that revival will take the heart of this nation before it is too late."

The GWMA also will participate in the National Day of Prayer May 3. It will be held at Center Lake Pavilion at noon. The public is invited.
